REAL

The Rangel Economic Analysis Lab (REAL) has been created after persistent and eloquent argumentation from Marwa AlFakhri and Romina Tome. REAL is a research group composed of doctoral students that aims to foster research ties and to provide a supportive and nurturing environment to help students navigate their Ph.D. journey. The lab brings together students who share a common interest in economic analysis, public policy, and quantitative methods and promotes a shared learning environment to advance students’ research by creating a safe space for brainstorming, operationalizing research questions, and motivating collaboration. The group consistently meets once every two weeks to facilitate frequent interactions, discuss achievements, set goals, and address hurdles and concerns. Students who graduated in past years join meetings to offer some recent perspective on acquiring a Ph.D. education and navigating the first steps of professional life. See full description here.
